Desert Shadows RV Resort is an adult, over-55,
luxury recreational vehicle park located adjacent to Palm Springs, at
the heart of
the Coachella
Valley, in Cathedral City, California. We are minutes
from Palm Springs, Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage and the other 10 cities
in the valley.
The park was originally conceived and developed by Sidney Kilbrick,
who played 'Woim' in the Our Gang comedies of the thirties. His
influence is still very much evident, from street names to facilities.
He
and other notable Our Gang stars have their handprints and signatures
embedded in concrete at the base of the flag poles.
Built
in two phases, the resort has a mix of 460 individually owned
RV and park
model lots. The resort is administered by a not-for-profit Home
Owners's Association. All sites are paved and level, some are
pull-thru. All
sites have water, 50 amp electrical hookup, sewer, over 60
channels of cable TV, and telephone connections. Many owners rent their
sites when they are away from the park. Renters are able to
enjoy all of the luxurious facilities and, unlike some resorts, have
the same privileges as owners.
